There were plenty of routes this movie could’ve gone down. Horror, suspense, action or maybe a bit of a drama. In truth, maybe the movie would’ve been better if it had chosen one of those paths instead of all of them. The way the movie played out was an attempt at a drama with large action sequences to break the slow pace and the constant build for “jump scares” throughout the entire film.
Now, every summer Mountain Dew releases some locked flavor of Dew for the masses. Most years they link it with a special promotion and some video game like Halo 3, Call of Duty MW3, or World of Warcraft. This year Mountain Dew is trying to salvage the wasteland of the newest Batman movie. Thus is born Mountain Dew: Darkberry with a fancy Batman logo on it. Most of the time they just release flavors they haven’t put out for a while like Game Fuel or Pitch Black. This year seems to be an all new flavor, so despite its association with the Batman movies I was actually really excited for this new summer flavor.
… can we come up with a better term than social network? Seriously. That term just reeks of fogies. This is 2012. Let’s act like we’re not newbs. I’m going to call them “Sonnets” from now on. It’s time that word moved out of the Shakespeare realm anyway.
